Should I buy NFS for PC?

If your internet occasionally cuts out, even for an instant, I’d say probably not. Any disconnection whatsoever with immediately throw you back to the title screen. Even when I don’t disconnect from Xbox Live I’ll still get errors saying I lost connection to the NFS servers.

It can be absolutely infuriating.

I got it on XBone... The controls are super laggy, and like Blondude said, any small interruption in internet connection will mess it up.

I’d go with maybe Most Wanted or Carbon if you haven’t already played them.

Yeah I’ve played all the old ones but this one looks like it has really great customization which I wanted, but idk if the gameplay is worth it... maybe not, but my internet is good and maybe laggy controls arent an issue on pc?

Internet on my PC is fine so I don’t think it should be an issue.

I don’t think it’s so much an issue of laggy controls as laggy physics... The gas and braking are pretty much instant, but the steering has a non-linear 0.5 second delay, it seems. It’s like they wanted to account for the time it would take you to literally turn the steering wheel lock to lock, so if you push left on the stick, the car turns as if you’re still adding steering angle mid-corner.

I will say that the customization is pretty amazing, though. (If you’re really into Speedhunters feature cars, and Hoonicorn mustangs)

They were, but failed miserably.

I did enjoy Rivals for about 20 hours, but it was on sale, so it was worth it.

If you’re looking for a racing game, I just got Assetto Corsa. It’s really good, with a ton of mod support.

I think I know what you mean, I’ve played non-sim games before that do that and its really annoying.

Thing is I have enough sims and I want a game with good customization but now that you mention mods...

It’s worse than that. The game seems to have to modes to the physics engine and switches between them depending on the situation. This tends to result in crabwalking out of corners if the game thinks you want to drift when you really want to go straight.

Basically, if you enjoy tons of car customization, get the game on sale, and don’t bother drifting it’s good. Otherwise I’d pass.

Although on PC there is the potential for mods to fix some of this.

Holy shit LOL. Yeah the driving physics were a turn off for me but I might pick it up later when its cheaper, not worth $80 for crap physics.

I remember I almost picked it up for the xbox one at that price but decided to hold out on the pc version, because it’s newer there hasn’t been a sale yet as far as I seen, but yeah for $30 I think I would.
